WHY THE NORDKETTE NEAR INNSBRUCK IS ONE OF THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PARAGLIDING SPOTS IN THE WORLD
A paragliding tandem flight from the Nordkette is one of the most beautiful experiences possible in Tyrol. From lofty heights you have a view of the entire surrounding mountains, you fly over alpine pastures, rugged cliffs, in many cases you see chamois and share the sky with all kinds of birds of prey, with which you can peacefully circling with a paraglider in the thermals. You have an omnipresent view of Innsbruck and the surrounding villages and on very good days you can see the border areas of Germany as well as the northernmost mountains of Italy beyond the mountains. The spectacular cable car ride leads directly to the launch site, but the weather only allows flights in this area sometimes. Nevertheless: if you have the chance to fly here, you shouldn't think twice - it's my personal highlight.
flight duration: A tandem flight with a paraglider usually takes about 20 - 30 minutes. We land in Innsbruck, so you'll be directly back in town afterwards. Acrobatic maneuvers, if desired, will shorten the flight a bit, but let the adrenaline level skyrocket. If the thermals are good, you can extend your paragliding flight for a surcharge of €45. Thermals allow us to climb above the starting level and at best above the peaks.
